It all started out with twelve heifers, three milk cows, and two ambitious twenty years olds sharing a dream. The first year after they began, fourteen bull calves and only one heifer calf was born. They figured it could only get better.

Meet Norman and Sallie Volkmann. They are not exactly twenty anymore, but now they can truly say that they are young enough to have ambition to continue on, while at the same time, are old enough to have a strong background of experience.

Norman is not exactly photo happy, but usually he is all smiles:-) Sallie riding across the yard
