The Cabin

Amy looked around the small mountain cabin she was borrowing from a friend. She wanted a weekend to get away with her lover, and the secluded cabin was the perfect spot. For now, they had to keep their love a secret. Amy wished they didn't have to do so, and she longed for the day when she could shout to all the world that she was in love. She loved his gentle smile, and the way his eyes shone brightly when he looked at her. She loved the feel of his arms around her, and his lips pressed to hers. Amy shivered in anticipation of his arrival. Amy remembered the last time they made love. He was so gentle, so loving. He held her like fine china, and made her feel beautiful. Amy could still remember every touch and caress. She sighed and imagined that he was already with her. She imagined them making love on the floor in front of the roaring fire she had made. She had already piled pillows around the bearskin rug that covered the floor in front of the hearth. A fantasy of hers had always been to make love on a bearskin rug in front of a blazing fire. She knew that he would agree to it to please her. She loved that about him. He always took care to make her happy, and in turn, Amy loved pleasing him. While they made love, all their differences seemed to vanish. The only thing that mattered was that they were together, and in love. Because of that love, they could conquer any obstacle that came between them. Amy glanced at her watch and gasped, he would be there soon, and she hadn't finished getting ready. She rushed to the tiny bedroom and quickly undressed. She put on a simple floor length white silk nightgown. She carefully smoothed the fabric down, loving the feel of the flimsy material against her body. She stared down at the lace bodice and wondered if she was showing enough cleavage, or too much. She knew that her lover would love her no matter what she wore, but she still wanted to please him. She tossed her clothes into her suitcase and went back into the main room. Picking up the box of matches, she lit one, and began to light the candles she had placed on the table. Dinner was sitting in the oven to keep warm until he arrived. Amy was hungry, but, it wasn't forfood. While Amy waited, she double checked, and then checked again to make sure everything was the way she wanted it to be. She was running a brush through her wild mass of curls to tame them when she heard a door slam outside. Amy rushed to the front window and saw her lover making his way to the front door. He saw her standing there, framed by the window, with the soft glow of the fire behind her and smiled, lifting his hand in a silent greeting. She waved back at him and smiled seductively. It took all of his control just to walk to the front door. He opened it, and saw Amy standing there, knowing she was his. He almost groaned aloud at the thought. She was so beautiful. He wondered how she ever could love a man like him. He was thankful she did, though and never questioned her love, lest she take it away. They stood there for a long moment, just staring at one another. Neither wanted to ruin the moment. Then, without warning, he pulled Amy into his arms and kissed her long and hard. His kiss turned her knees to jelly, and took her breath away. When it ended, she rested her head against his shoulder, trying to control the feelings raging inside her. She listened to the pounding of his heart and gently ran her hands over his chest in a gentle caress. "I love you, Amy," she heard him murmur. Amy looked up and smiled. She wrapped her arms around his neck. Pulling his head down for another kiss, she replied, "I love you too,BA."
