Innes Houser was my great uncle,
a son of Christian Evander Houser
and Sarah Jane (Potter) Houser.
This obituary was published in the
Myrtle Point Herald, Myrtle Point,
Oregon on February 15, 1940.
After the tragic death
of her first husband,
my great grandmother,
Laura May Houser
(daughter of Christian & Sarah Houser)
married Donald Nelson.
His father (my gg grandfather)
was Oden Nelson.
Oden Nelson was the owner
of the Norway Store
near Myrtle Point, Oregon.
This ad was published
in the Coquille City Herald
on Tuesday, September 11, 1883.
Appearing in the February 14, 1902
Myrtle Point Enterprise
was this article regarding
the deaths of two sons
of James Gilliam Houser and
Josephine C. (Pierce) Houser.
It describes the apparent
poisoning deaths of
Archie and Olis E. Houser.
