Hazel's Journal

April 5, 1999

Saturn and I were exploring yesterday when we found something! It was a big box, full of yummy timothy hay. Of course, we did the obvious thing ... we climbed up into the box and began to eat the hay.

I guess the slave must have gotten herself worried when we weren't in our cage waiting for dinner, because we could hear her wandering around, shaking a bag of raisins and calling our names. We would have answered, but we were quite busy munching, and couldn't be bothered moving.

We weren't making any attempt to hide - we were out in plain site, but she still didn't see us! Anyway, she stopped and was quiet for a moment, then slowly turned around until she saw us. She said later that she knew we were there somewhere because she heard 'munching' sounds, and Saturn was grunting happily.

The slave scolded us, then took us out of the box and 'shooed' us into our condo (but not before taking a couple of photos). I don't know what she was doing stockpiling hay ... it certainly didn't hurt her to share. After all, she's only here to serve us!

A new window will open with an animation.
The animation will play only once, but you can watch it as many times as you'd like. Just close the popup window and click on the button again.

I can't guarantee that the sound and animation will be timed perfectly.
It all depends on your system and internet connection.

The animated graphic is 353 K.!
The .wav file that goes with it is 34.2 KB.
