Lance
Robert
Malone

March 3, 1970 - May 29, 1995

Lance was born the 2nd of 4 sons to
Patrick and Kathy Malone on March 3, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lance (R), with his older brother, Bryan (L), and youngest brother, Sean.
Lance had another brother, Scott, who died when he was 1 day old.

Lance was daring and full of life, starting from a very young age. As a boy, he enjoyed climbing trees, bikes, soccer, running, and fishing. As he grew older, he added to his hobbies rock climbing and watching Notre Dame football and NASCAR racing on TV. After high school, he went on to obtain an FAA License as a Certified Airframe/Powerplant Mechanic.

His greatest love, however, was motorcycles. A short time prior to his death, he bought his purple Yamaha 650; the color purple signifying freedom and it was his pride and joy.

Lance was killed at the age of 25 on Memorial Day of 1995 while riding his motorcycle. He was struck when a truck made a sudden left hand turn directly in his path.

Lance is loved and missed by his family. After his untimely death, Lance's parents began a campaign in Atlanta that has now spread over several states. They have distributed thousands of bumper stickers as pictured below to increase driver awareness of motorcycles.
