These photo's were taken two weeks before the tragic death of the Princess.

Princess Diana once said something to the effect of she didn't really believe she'd ever become Queen, but she hoped she could be the queen of peoples hearts. And in my opinion, based on the reaction around the world to her death, she was exactly that.

We're an American family stationed in England. We were deeply saddened by her death. It was a great shock to wake up that Sunday morning of 31 August 97 and find that this wonderful human being was gone forever. She was a great role model for young and old alike, all over the world. She was a model mother and leader. She set the standard for volunteerism, sharing, loving, giving, independence, dedication and many other great attributes. The world has suffered a great loss.

Our hearts are with her two sons Prince William and Prince Harry. They have lost a great mother. She loved them so very much. They will need a lot of comfort from those close to them, but no one will be able to replace Diana in their lives. God bless them.

We've watched the news broadcasts all week and it has been very sad. We went to Ely in Cambridgeshire and signed a condolence book and left flowers outside of Ely Cathedral. We also signed the electronic condolence book at www.royal.gov.uk . The great love people have for Princess Diana (Queen of Hearts) was displayed in the ocean of flowers left at different locations throughout the country and at the British embassies around the world, as well as the enormous number of people waiting many long hours in the queue (many waiting for up to 11 hours) at St. James's Palace to sign the condolence books. Others waited for shorter periods of time at other locations to sign condolence books, but it has been said they'd gladly have waited the long hours to sign, because the wait in a way is part of the tribute.

We should all try to let Diana live on in us by helping those in need around us.
