NON-FASAL FAMILY One of the subgroups of the Kuhaylan-Haifi strain in Davenport breeding is the non-Fasal group, which is listed separately for purposes of this catalog, in recognition of its own identity. It should be remembered, however, that the non-Fasal group is an important part of the larger Kuhaylan-Haifi family and that its members are frequently used with excellent results for breeding with other Davenport lines. The non-Fasals trace to identically the same desert-bred ancestors as others of the Haifi family but differ in that one of the excellent intermediate ancestors in the pedigrees of other Davenports in absent in theirs. This is Fasal #330 by *Hamrah and out of Amran (*Deyr/*Wadduda). Non-Fasal Davenport pedigrees are made up exclusively of descendants of the stallions Dhareb and Hanad and the mares Poka and Antarah. In the hands of a breeder who would specialize in them, the Non-Fasals could be a major group in Davenport breeding.
