ROBERT MILTON MASON
Born: 24 August 1925 - Lynchburg, Virginia

Born at the home of his parents at 901 Orchard Street in Lynchburg, Virginia. He attended school in the Lynchburg area. By the time he was eighteen years of age, he stood six feet tall and weighed 200 pounds. Very active in sports.

He worked at Craddock-Terry Shoe Corp., West-End Plant in Lynchburg and lived at home until he was inducted into the Army during World War II.

Robert was assigned to the 119th Infantry - 30th Infantry Division when they landed at Normandy, France. He was killed during the invasion several miles inland.

He was interned in France for a period of time and then his body was sent home and buried at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia. His parents were later buried alongside him. Robert and Selma had no children from this marriage.
