Stanley Kubrick, one of the all-time movie directors, is dead at 70.

Stanley Kubrick was born in the Bronx, New York in 1928. He developed a passion for photography as a youth, and this eventually led to him becoming One of the world's greatest movie directors.
Kubrick made his first film, Day of the Fight in 1951 at the age of 23. He paid for it out of his own savings. He actually made a small profit when it was bought by RKO.
Kubrick directed many extremely notable films, such as DR. STRANGELOVE, A Clockwork Orange and 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY
His last film, Eyes Wide Shut, is slated for release in July 1999.
