Introduction Page

I am a low budget astronomer, who builds his own scopes and enjoys deepsky sketching. I simply don't have the patience to sit behind a guiding eyepiece as some of my friends do. I finally aquired a scanner and now I can post some of my sketches. I am presently working on my Herschel Certificate and I am drawing all of them as well. It is a project that has been going on since 1994.

I used to teach astronomy labs at Sam Houston State University and gave public star parties at Huntsville State. I now live in Alvin, Texas. I recently joined the Johnson Space Center Astronomical Society and I am looking forward to some fun times there. I have gotten into astrophotography with a webcam which is working out real well. More about that on my astrophoto page.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome!!

Here I am at the 1998 Texas Star Party

My very good friend Tom Teters from Ft.Collins Colorado.
Tom takes some nice pictures with that rig there. Go and check his site out and see what I mean.
