Dulce Pontes
Dulce Pontes was born in 1969 in Montijo, a small town near the Tagus river.
Her career started in 1988, when she won a song contest for a musical comedy. Following to this part she exercised several roles in theater, TV programs and publicity spots.
She was invited to the Casino of Estoril to take part of a very sucessful music-show. During this period Dulce continued to appear in various TV programs and shows.
In 1991 Dulce Pontes won the Portuguese song festival with "Lusitana Paixão", where she was nominated to represent Portugal in the Eurovision contest in Rome. The English version (Tell-me) was released shortly after in Belgium.
She was invited to various song festivals (Turkey, Mexico, etc.) before she released her first album on compact disc in 1992.
