We have been involved in building costumes for Mardi Gras, the Harness you see my wife wearing we built is about 8 1/2 feet wide and 9feet tall. She was the Captain this year.
This was the year she was voted to be the Queen by her club. She portrayed Cinderalla
The year Nancy was Queen, the whole family was there. My son Frank is on the right and my son Bill is on the left

The following harness wireworks I built for the 1996 Ball.
The harnesses averaged about 6 feet wide and 7 feet tall,
and weighed about 40 plus pounds except for the co-captain
whose harness weighed in at only 9 pounds! Construction of
the wirework took about 2 1/2 months of 8 hour days. The
applications you see on these harnesses were built and placed
there by a group of very talented ladies in the club. All
work is done internally. There is nothing farmed out like in
some clubs. The ladies doing this are all volunteers and
develop and pass on their talents to new ladies in the club.
All in all a neat way of doing things.

This was the Captain of the 1996 Ball, her harness was the largest, and the stars were lighted. Nancy and I built this harness completly.
This was the Co-Captain. Her harness was the smallest at 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide and weighing 9 pounds. Nancy and I built this harness completly.
