Quantum Chakras and Other Thoughts
on the Chakra System

It is the closest thing that I can locate to an actual photograph of the human chakra system. I had planned to forego discussion of the chakras, since it is one of those things that you can find in so many metaphysical books, but having included magickal correspondences for the chakras in the Phoenix Rising (Occult Discussion Forum) Master Table of Magickal Correspondences at this site, I am reminded that there is additional information which may be important. Appropriately, the smallest amount of conventional information is given here for your convenience.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word from Vedic or Hindu mysticism referring to centers of energy located along clusters of nerves. The seven major chakras occupy the spine, from the bottom, to the top of the head. The Western view of them is that they are the colors, in descending order from the top of the head down, violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. The Eastern system more often has some variation such as the orange center is instead pink.

Like the aura they are sometimes visible to seers or clairvoyants. Unlike the aura, which may be viewed or photographed Kirlian techniques, the chakras are ordinarily far more difficult to detect or image electronically, perhaps because of poor understanding of the necessary technology.

One reason they are significant is that they may be able a critical role in being able to diagnose disease or the propensity for disease, especially since their functions are thought to be linked to separate bodies of the endocrine system. Each of these is in turn associated with certain psychological or behavioral patterns. People tend to operate predominantly on one or two particular levels of consciousness quite often.

The most general set of characteristics facilities associated with the chakras (Western system) is as follows:

CHAKRA, COLOR FACULTY
Violet Imagination
Indigo Intuition
Blue Conceptual; spiritual
Green Love; emotional; acquistion
Yellow Intellectual, rational
Orange Social
Red Physical, survival

The Kenneth Meadows book, "Earth Medicine" mentions more than the several standard chakras, and the new information seems very promising. It has done considerably well being used to interpret color correspondences with the Doctrine of Signatures that might have otherwise remained unfathomable, although the slightest variation has seemed to prove necessary. This may be because since when systems like this or astrology are new, it is easy to mistake one cause for another which is immediately adjacent; some systems of chakra interpretation invariably and traditionally attribute certain characteristics to the orange chakra, for example, while other systems assign them to the red chakra.

# Chakra Name Location Color Response Frequency Multiple Factors of Freqency Multiples Functional Significance
1 Root Between the Feet Magenta (Red) 1 1 x 1 Nurturing.
2 Feet Between the Ankles Dark Red 2 1 x 2 Balance and Movement.
3 Base Base of Spine Mid-Red 4 2 x 2 Foundation. Elimination.
4 Sacral Lower Intestines and Sexual Organ Area Orange 6 2 x 3 Motivation and Reproduction. Desire
5 Solar Solar Plexus Yellow 10 2 x 5 Growth and Balance. Will.
6 Heart Heart Green 12 2 x 2 x 3 Emotional Love, and Compassion. Fear.
7 Throat Throat Light Blue 16 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 Communication

Chakra chart from Kenneth Meadow's "Earth Medicine"

Likewise, the material by Gurudas on Flower Essences which has proven to be a tremendous resource, refers to more major chakras than the standard seven.

Both of these larger systems of major chakras deserve broader attention and greater consideration.

What has inspired me to construct this page for the purpose of sharing with others, is that while running various permutations of ideas across the sketchpad, looking for any patterns in nature which had not been before noticed or anticipated, such patterns may have been found.

Normally, conventional studies of the chakras and the associated modes of consciousness are categorized that the ones below the center (green) or heart chakra are recognized as oriented toward physical concerns, while the ones which lie above the center (green) or heart chakra are recognized to be the opposite, and less geared toward physical concerns. Persons who operate largely on the lower chakras are, somewhat sterotypically materialist, while those who operate on the higher chakras may tend toward classification as spiritual, or even "spacey" or "spaced out", which is of course even more of a stereotype, but it is a common way in which this is recognized.

One author writes, literally, that the lower chakras are "positive to earth energy" and "negative to space energy", while the higher chakras are "postive to space energy" and "negative to earth energy", not just that the higher chakras are less easily disposed toward material concerns. Although this may sound a little too far out for anyone, looking at diagrams of the earth's electrical field such as those drawn by the inventor of radio and the flourescent light, Nikola Tesla, will quickly add much sober credibility to the basic premise.

What I have noticed is a different pattern, however. In considering the character of each of the chakras, whether they seem introverted and extroverted there is a pattern that emerges.

CHAKRA, COLOR FACULTY QUALITY
Violet Imagination Introverted
Indigo Intuition Extroverted
Blue Conceptual; spiritual Extroverted
Green Love; emotional; acquistion Neutral? Neutral/ Introverted?
Yellow Intellectual, rational Introverted
Orange Social Extroverted
Red Physical, survival Introverted

While this may seem somewhat generalized, what seems important is that this set of characteristics can be correspondended to additional physical systems besides vibratory or field systems.

The diagrams of quantum statistics of conciousness in Danah Zohar's "The Quantum Self" are particular encouraging toward such a view as follows.

For example:

CHAKRA, COLOR FACULTY QUALITY QUANTUM STATISTIC ORDER (after Bohm)
Violet Imagination Introverted Fermion Implicate
Indigo Intuition Extroverted Boson Explicate
Blue Conceptual; spiritual Extroverted Fermion Implicate
Green Love; emotional; acquistion Neutral? Neutral/ Introverted? Anyon (Fractional Quantum)? Boson? ???
Yellow Intellectual, rational Introverted Fermion Implicate
Orange Social Extroverted Boson Explicate
Red Physical, survival Introverted Fermion Implicate

What is listed here may account for some of the difficulties detecting and imaging the chakras; likewise, the special nature of the center or green chakra seems to correspond well with the views of some authorities as to it's more unique nature. In some views it is seen as something of a master chakra, and noted that one can more easily function in other modes of conciouness when centered at this chakra than centering on other levels of conciouness.

Additionally, it has crossed the sketch pad whether the individual bodies of the chakra system may be comprised of and divided by such structures as Penrose twistors, part of the physics theories of physicist Roger Penrose (Briggs & Peat, "Superstrings").

In the classic work on Kirlian or auric photography, "Electrographic Imaging In Medicine And Biology" by Ion Dumitrescu with Julian N Kenyon, there appears a photograph that makes further suggestions into the realm in which Dimirescu has produced stunning phantom photographs that go beyond the usual Kirlian phantom images of missing parts of living organisms, frequently taken of leaves with a section removed.

Dumitrescu's image of a leaf with a hole in the center shows and entire new image of a leaf within the cavity.

The work in question however features a color auric photograph that shows various semblances of the body in different colors, and they all show degrees of distortion, with the exception of the feild that shows up in green in the photograph, a special affiliation with the color that is perhaps in accordance with the chart above. Perhaps one of Rupert Sheldrake's Morphogenetic feilds has therefore actually been photographed in this manner.

Certainly in seeming accordance with the increasingly evident holographic nature of auric imaging, the effect is not at all unlike the unsuccessful results of attempts at full color holography; different colored fragments of a full color image appear at different angles or different degrees of distortion in porportion to the particular color and, with great likelihood, frequency of the particular color.
