About My Site

This page is here to answer any questions you may have about my little corner of the web.

The background color on most of my pages is gray because I find that black type on a gray background is much easier to read than brightly colored type on a colored background. Or any color type on a patterned background.

The pictures on these pages were provided for free by either The Graphics Station or MadCow Graphics. If you like any of the pictures and want them for your pages just click on the links below.

MadCow graphics provided the font for my Welcome Page along with the guestbook picture links. That site doesn't exist but I want to give the credit to them anyway

The Graphics Station privided the cool torches on the home page, the bears here and the HitchHiker guy that appears on the Page-O-Links. I have more graphics from this site that I haven't used yet because I'm not sure where to put them.

Draac's Gifs 123 provided the torches on the welcome page and the animated e-mail scroll. I also got the webtv logo from Draac. Draac used to let webtv users to link to his pictures and He also told us how to put pictures and music in our e-mails. I have some graphics from here that I haven't used yet once I figure out where I want them I'll use those too. Draac had quite a library of pictures. But if you go to his page you'll see it had to be shut down.

The above banner was a link to RC's House. RC made that banner for me for FREE!. But now his website is gone and I don't know where he went.

Everything you see on these pages was done by me with my webtv. The only thing done by a computer was the uploading and downloading of the graphics. I did that at work with a Netscape Navigator and my Power Mac. If you have webtv and want pictures on your pages I'd be more than happy to help, just drop me a line at the address below and let me know how I can help you.

The small amount of HTML that I have learned came from an online tutorial at Case Western Reserve University. It is a 7 chapter course with quizzes and exercises throughout to help you use what you are learning while you are learning it. I found it very helpful.

The poetry on these pages was done by me or my friends with the Magnetic Poetry Kit ( you can link on the poetry pages). I'll continue to add more poetry as it gets written.

If you want a home page of your own click on the link below GeoCities has a lot of helpful tips on creating a website and they have links to cool graphic sites and help with learning HTML. This is a pleasant community to be a part of I'm happy I finally got my page here up and running.

To see a page I did before I learned HTML check out Bjiou's Pet Revolt. That's my cat's page. Her page is at Tripod. I started her page there becuase I was having technical difficulities getting a page started here at GeoCities. When I filled out the application and clicked the "send" button it wouldn't send. I got frustrated and went elsewhere. I'm glad I came back here though because GeoCities is much easier for a person who knows a little about HTML. Tripod is good for someone who doesn't know any HTML.

I'm sill looking for a good book on learning HTML, if you know of any titles that are simple to read and filled with examples please drop me a line and let me know. Well I think that is it for this page.

Thanks for coming here and reading all of these words.
