Welcome to our Ward Family History section devoted to marriage records of our Ward ancestors. We hope the information in our History section will help you learn more about your ancestors and grow to know and understand them better. This site is sponsored by the Ward Family Club, a national, non-profit family club for all descendants of the various Ward families.

We NEED YOUR HELP in the project to gather and preserve Ward family marriage records. If you have info that has been confirmed with public documents, please send this to us to preserve in the Family Library as well as for posting here. Please do not send "hearsay" info -- or info that has not been confirmed.

These marriage records have been obtained from a variety of sources, including directly from courthouse records, church records, published books and magazines, family Bible records and from lists sent in by relatives.

In many cases, the date shown is not the actual date of marriage but rather when the marriage license -- or bond, was issued. This is especially true of older records. These are most likely a marriage "bond", a legal promise to marry the girl and if the marriage did not take place, the man and his bondsman forfeited the bond money.
