To prepare the complete agenta for the academic year and advising orguiding the committee members to implement that. 2. To supervice all the committees and to make sure the effective functioning of the committee in time. Film committee -------------- To screen one or more tamil movies with in the budget available and to make sure that the movies we screen could show the culture and traditions and arts of ours. Picnic Committee ---------------- Arranging one or more picnics (of one day or many days) with in the budget that every student will be a part of it. Photography committee --------------------- 1. To catch the beautiful events of our functions and picnics into the camera and make them available in the form of phtographs for all the students in time. 2. Displaying the photographs on the day of function in a notice board so that people could see at the time of high tea. Webdesign committee ------------------- To make a fantastic cybercafe for our Tamil peravai which 1.will have the list of tamil peravai office bearers and committee members (old and new) 2. Complete database of alumni 3. Copies of all the minnal magazines (in the readable format independent of browsers ie in the format of gif or jpeg). Even we could give the link to downloadable pdf file of minnal) 4. Photogallery of colorful moments of our function events and picnics. 5. The list of forthcoming events 6. Miscellaneous - which will inlude the links to tamil mp3 songs, tourist places, tamil magazines etc Minnal Editorial board ---------------------- To collect the poems, essays, short stories, jokes and drawings from our students and other members and publish once in a three months or even during the function time. Cultural committee ------------------ 1. To take care of the whole cultural events part of a function. 2. To interact with all the students community and to keep the database of their capablities to perform any cultural program. Programs committee ------------------ 1. Booking the hall for the function and to ensure the availabilty of enough number of chairs and audio system in good condition and to arrange any other essential thing which depends on the actual program to be performed in coordination with the cultural committee 2. To arrange high tea or (and?) dinner. 3. Decoration of the hall 4. Reception 5. To assist the photography committee members in displaying the photos of former function. 6. To assist the Minnal editorial board in distribution and selling of minnal magazines. 7. To assist the cultural committee members and picnic committee members in purchasing. Alumni association committee ---------------------------- To collect and maintain the database of our alumni to make the strong relations between the tamil peravai and alumni To get the financial support from alumni for tamil peravai activties and for minnal magazine release. In case of visit of any of our alumni to our campus, to provide the guest room for stay and to arrange for an evening (in chokshi hall?) with the high tea for a discussion so that it could help our students to clarify any doubts or to guide them to get a job or post doctoral postion. Committee for communication --------------------------- 1. To make the invitations and advertisements and receipts. 2. To ensure the invitations to reach the department representatives so that they could distribute to the students, faculties and staffs in thier depts. 3. Display of invitations in the notice board of coffee board, tea board, TMSC, Hoysala, Gymcafe Janatha Bajar and Nilgiris. 4. Broadcasting the mail to all@iisc, if it is a common function. 5. Sending inviations to all the students, staffs and faculties. 6. Calling a meeting in case if any important issue is to be discussed. Academic Committee ------------------ 1.Helping the students in directing them to an approbriate person in case they want to learn a new package, programming language. Department Representatives: --------------------------- 1. To collect the membership fee from all the tamil students, staffs and faculties and give that treasurer or assistant treasurer. 2. To provide the list of students, staffs and faculties to the communication committee to help them out in maitain the complete database. 3. To collect the invitations from the committee for communication and to invite the students, staffs and faculties. 4. To inform the cultural committee members about the students who could give any type of cultural events. 5. To provide the complete list of alumni from your dept to the committee for communication. In case any of these members (include tamil peravai office bearers, SAC members, all the committee members and department representatives) are going in leave make sure the functioning of tamilperavai not interrupted, by putting a person in charge for the post you hold. Each committee will be supervised by Tamil peravai office bearers and SAC members and the reports should be given once in a while. Cultural committee will be supervised by Kalpana (Biochemistry), S.S.Ramasubramaniyan (MBU) and Kothanda Raman (SSCU) Minnal ediotorial board will be supervised by N.Arul murugan (SSCU) and Suresh Kumar (Civil) Film committee activities will be supervised by Dhanasekaran (Biochemistry) Picnic committee will be supervised by Saravanan (Metallurgy) Web design committee will be supervised by Suresh Kumar and Arul Murugan Academic committee will be supervised by Prof N.Ravi shankar (MRC) Alumni association committee will be supervised by Guhan(Biochemistry) and Balaji (Isu) Programs committee will be supervised by Guhan (Biochemistry), Balaji Ranjith and Arul Murugan. Committee for communication will be supervised by Suresh Kumar and Arul Murugan Money collection from all the students, staffs and faculties will be supervised by Saravanan, Kothanda Raman and Ramasubbu. |
