Hindoo religious books mention lots of information about people scattered throughout. Some related information about people has been condensed here for ease. People's names are arranged in alphabetical order. These names may appear anywhere in any religious book. The list consists of normally - names, parentage and any other relationship, wife, children, maybe brothers and sisters, and any other important worth to know information about the person. Wherever the information is certain it is given there, especially about wife and children; but wherever it is not known or not certain "nnn" is written there..

All this information has been condensed from various sources - 
1. Mahaabhaarat - indicated as "MBH" only
2. Puraan, 
3. Raam Charit Maanas - indicated as Maanas, 
4. Vaalmeeki Raamaayan - indicated as Raamaayan etc books. 

One may find some contradictory information also at some places. It is because of collecting it from different sources. Wherever it is possible the source is given, but sometimes it is not possible, because these are not review articles and it is not possible to give all references for all tiny bits of information. I apologize for that. 

Sketches
There is a section for "Sketches" which gives more detailed information about a few people. Among them there are is a sections for "Others" which gives many popular names worth to know to a student of Hindoo religion, although they are not mentioned in Hindoo scriptures.

Genealogies
This section gives genealogies of various lineages - Soorya Vansh, Chandra Vansh etc given in various Puraan and Mahaabhaarat etc.
