I, Bimla Pandey, was born in Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh, India). My nickname is Sonu. I belong to a Bhumihar (Brahmin) family from Gorpa village of Bhojpur-Ara (Bihar, India). I am pure vegetarian. I can understand several languages (e.g. Bhojpuri, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Japanese, Mandarin, etc). I have lived in several Indian cities (i.e. Halwara, Ambala, Ludhiana, Bhatinda, Tezpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Allahabad, Pune), Singapore; and, travelled to Switzerland (Zurich, Berne, Interlaken, Lausanne, Gruyere, Montreux, Geneva, Zermatt, Schaffhausen, Rhein Fall, Luzern), Germany (Schwarzwald), France, Qatar (Doha). I have travelled to several holy places, such as: Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Kurukshetra, Kamakhya, Chitrakoot, Mansa Devi, Prayag Raj (Kumbh), Vindhyachal.
By profession, I am an Advocate registered with Bar Council of India, Patna. Along with my husband Shashi Bhushan Rai, I co-founded the Brahmrishi Technologies Pte Ltd, an IT Consulting Services firm based in Singapore. Previously, I worked at Air Force School, Bamraulli (Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh) as a Biology teacher. I completed LLB degree course from Maharaja College (Bhojpur-Ara, Bihar), and Bachelor of Science from Chhatrpati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh). Due to my father's job and his frequent transfers, I had an opportunity to study at Kendriya Vidyalaya (affiliated to CBSE) located at various places in India.
I belong to Shivji Pandey family of Gorpa. My father, Sriram Pandey, is a retired Indian Air Force personnel. Nowadays, he lives in Bhojpur-Ara. My mother, Agarmano Pandey, was a pious woman. She belonged to Naresh Pandey family of Manauli (Rohtas, Bihar). I have an elder brother, Chandrasekhar Pandey, who is Chartered Accountant (from ICAI, New Delhi). I have two elder sisters, Krishna Pandey and Maya Pandey, both are married. I have two maternal and four paternal (Rameshwar Pandey, Devnarayan Pandey, Rajendra Pandey, Ramakant Pandey) uncles.
I like learning foreign languages, cooking, music, dance, and Internet surfing. My hobbies include: ceramic art, Madhubani paintings, tailoring, cake making, chatting, soft toys making, etc. I am a very reserved person and believe in spirituality. My favorite: book (Bhagwad Gita), actress (Madhuri Dixit), actor (Sanjay Dutt), movie (Saajan), food (Litti-Chokha, Pizza), etc.
