1968 Safari Yellow on Black Corvette Convertible
I bought "Ole' Yeller'" as I call her in 1986. She was black then. Over the years, I've slowly
restored the car to as near original condition as time and money allow. I've done all the work
on my cars myself (including paint). She's running the original (re-built once) 300hp 327 engine
(all stock except for a GM "151" cam) and a re-built wide ratio Muncie 4-speed transmission.
The paint is PPG Acrylic Lacquer (5 coats of color and 10 coats of clear). Most of those coats
have of course been "color-sanded" back out and buffed to get the smooth finish we're all after.
All of the important numbers match on Ole' Yeller'. She's my favorite car and of course, she's
a "keeper"!

1981 Monza Red on Tan Corvette
I picked up "Big Red" a few years ago when I sold my V-8 powered Datsun 240Z. This 1981
Corvette was white and had an automatic trans when I bought it but I repainted (1969 Corvette
Monza Red color) and converted her over to a close ratio Muncie 4-speed trans. The 4-speed
trans. and most of the components required for the conversion came out of a 1974 L-82 Corvette.
I recently replaced the original L-81 350 engine in this car too. She now runs a 220hp (approx.)
crate motor I picked up locally. The original engine is re-buildable and I still have it. The
paint on this car is color-sanded PPG Acrylic Lacquer (5 coats) and color sanded / buffed PPG
DelClear Urethane clear (3 coats). This is my "driver" Corvette.... 8^)

1973 Datsun "570Z"
I built this car (nicknamed the "Land Rocket" by some of my friends) out of the first Z car I ever owned.
I used a hooker conversion kit which consisted of a set of headers and solid motor mounts & trans. mount.
The rest of the conversion fabrication was done by me. The engine was a mid-70's 350 with 10:1 flat-top
pistons, a GM "151" cam, Edlebrock Performer intake and a Holley 650 double-pumper carb. I used a
modified TH-350 3-speed auto trans. The rear-end was an R-200 unit from a 280ZX. Suspension
consisted of Koni springs and adjustable struts, 1" front and 7/8" rear anti-sway bars and hardened
bushings throughout. Wheels were Enki 15x7's with 265X50X15 BFG Radial T/A tires. Paint was
around 10 coats of PPG Acrylic Lacquer (Porsche Gaurds Red color). This car was a serious blast
to drive and sometimes I wish I still had it. I'll have to build another one some day....

1974 Datsun 260Z
This is the car I usually putt back and forth to work in. She's almost completely stock....
kind of a time-piece really. Even the A/C still blows cold. Engine is the original 2.6 liter
straight six but with earlier model SU carbs. She's got an automatic trans. (Yuk!). There are
89K+ miles on the odometer and those appear to be the original miles. I found this car on a
used car lot and it was in such nice shape, I *had* to buy it despite the fact that it has an
automatic transmission. I own two more 240Z's but they aren't roadworthy. I had to park one
(a '73) because of frame rot. This 240Z had over 230,000 miles on it when I parked it and
it was still running strong! My '72 240Z is a rolling body (no drive-train).
