Troop 484 Activities for 2008
January 19-20 - New Jack City desert camping and rock climbing near Barstow. February 2 - Scouting for Food door-to-door collection of canned foods for the needy. February 15-17 - Klondike Derby snow camp a sled race and winter games held by the Sequoia Council at Camp Chawanakee on Shaver Lake. March 14-16 - Sierra Summit ski trip we'll stay in the lodge at a ski resort near Huntington Lake. April 18-20 - Council Camperall at Camp Condor scouting competitions held by the Southern Sierra Council at the Council camp near Pine Mountain Lodge. May 17-18 - San Simeon a car camp near Hearst Castle on the coast. May 24-25 - Santa Paula Canyon backpack a strenuous 7-mile backpack to swimming holes and waterfalls in a secluded canyon. June 13-15 - USS Hornet camp out on a Navy aircraft carrier near Vallejo. July 11-13 - Dinkey Lakes Loop backpack A backpack trip in the High Sierras with granite domes mountain lakes. July 26-August 2 - Camp Cherry Valley summer camp a Boy Scout summer camp on a pristine bay on Santa Catalina Island. August 9-10 - Eagle Lakes backpack A Sierra backpack in the Mineral King basin. September 13-14 - Moaning Cave A car camp with an optional cave crawl in the Mother Lode country. October 17-19 - Climb Mt. Baden-Powell, or a service project in Sequoia National Park A car camp either to do the 8-mile roundtrip climb of Mt.Baden-Powell in the San Gabriel Mountains, or a service project at Wolverton in Sequoia National Park. November 14-16 - Montana del Oro a car camp with an opportunity to work on Atomic Energy merit badge.

A car camp either to do the 8-mile roundtrip climb of Mt.Baden-Powell in the San Gabriel Mountains, or a service project at Wolverton in Sequoia National Park.

November 14-16 - Montana del Oro

a car camp with an opportunity to work on Atomic Energy merit badge.

January 16-18 - Vasquez Rocks desert car camping, hiking and rock climbing between Santa Clarita and Lancaster. February 1 - Scouting for Food door-to-door collection of canned foods for the needy. February 20-22 - Klondike Derby snow camp a sled race and winter games held by the Sequoia Council at Camp Chawanakee on Shaver Lake. March 13-15 - Sierra Summit ski trip we'll stay in the lodge at a ski resort near Huntington Lake. March 20-21 - Wind Wolves a car camp with a Yokuts and Chumash Indian Lore theme at a nature preserve. April 17-19 (or 24-26) - Council Camperall at Camp Condor scouting competitions held by the Southern Sierra Council at the Council camp near Pine Mountain Lodge. May 16-17 - Wishon Trail backpack a 7-mile roundtrip backpack to Redwood groves along the Wishon Fork of the Tule River. June 20-21 - Grey's Meadow backpack (or a Russian River canoe trip) a backpack trip in the Goloden Trout Wildernessof the southern Sierra Nevadas.
