Hosted by West Wilkes HS. Two different races: Boys and Girls Varsity Relays (11-12 graders),
Boys and Girls JV relays. Trophies to first 3 teams. T-Shirts will be given to the first four
place teams. Four members per relay team. Schools may enter multiple teams. Entry $30 per team.

Sat -- Aug 31...Jungle Run 2002 (South View HS, Hope Mills, NC)
6:45pm Developmental Mens Race, 7:20pm Developmental Womens Race, 8:10pm Championship Mens Race, 8:45pm Championship Womens Race, 9:30pm Awards Ceremony in football stadium. 5,000 meters around and through the South View HS Athletic Complex. The course will be lighted throughout. Awards: Top 20 individuals in the Mens and Womens Championship Division. Top 10 in each developmental race. Sat -- Sep 14....Appalachian Clash of Classes (State Farm, Appalachian State University, Boone, NC
Nine races: Freshmen boys, freshmen girls, sophomore boys, sophomore girls, junior boys, junior girls, senior boys, senior girls, middle school (7th & 8th grade). All races are two-miles. Awards will be given to the top ten in each race, team awards will be to the top three overall teams. Team scores computed by adding each teams top five best times from all eight high school races. Entry fees are $80.00 for unlimited entries into all races and $5.00 per runner for teams with 4 or fewer runners.

8:00 am - Course Walk / Jog / Warmup / Stretch. 9:00 am - Boys 5k Race. 9:30 am - Girls 5k Race. 10:30 am-Awards. Awards will be presented to the top 10 boys, top 10 girls, and top 3 teams each. The course is approximately half densely wooded, fairlyrugged trail, and half open field or dirt road, and has a gently rolling terrain with several short, moderately steep hills. The course crosses campus roads four times. For spectator viewing, this race will start in the Stadium with a 120-yard sprint out and will finish with 350 meters around the track. Directions to the school and and a course map will be e-mailed upon receipt of application. $35.00 entry fee per team includes 7 runners. $10.00 each per additional runner. $75.00 maximum entry fee per team.
