SACREDSITES: Take a virtual pilgrimage to the geographic spiritual centers of the world.
Martin Gray of Sedona, Arizona and at large somehere on earth presents an outstanding
website, "Places of Peace and Power ( WWW.SACREDSITES.COM) is an extensive web-site
dedicated to the study of sacred sites and pilgrimage traditions around the world. The
web-site has recently been updated to include many photographs and writings from his
recent year-long pilgrimage to 120 sacred sites in fourteen countries of Latin America.
There are also many new links to other web sites concerned with archaeoastronomy,
sacred geometry, feng-shui, goddess sites, earth mysteries and ecopsychology.

Theravada Buddhism is most often found in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Burma (Myanmar),
Cambodia, and Laos, and is based on the texts of the Pali Canon associated with
Gotama Buddha who lived in the 6th Century BCE.


Westerners are increasingly being drawn to explore this oldest surviving form of
Buddhism, and it is hoped that this site will prove useful to them. We see vipassana
meditation as being an integral part of Theravada Buddhism, supported by the
tradition and (for most people) not usefully separable from it.
