Youth Group at Shallowford meets Sunday evenings from 5-7 pm unless otherwise stated. Our schedule includes:

        Snack Supper ($2)
    5:30 pm   Music, Fellowship, Announcements
    6 pm         Program
    Grades 6-8 in room 202
    Grades 9-12 in the library

Youth News

All meetings will begin at 5:00pm, with supper (bring $2.00 if you plan to eat), unless otherwise noted.

October 6: Cookout at the Alley’s home 5:00-8 :00pmfor all youth, then groups will divide into their respective groups for explorations on faith. Please RSVP to the Alleys 945-2043.

October 13: "Fast for Hunger" Banquet 12:00-2:00 pmYouth and the Mission Committee will host a for the entire congregation. Youth will participate in this demonstration of the inequality of distribution of resources and wealth.

October 19: Celtic Christian Spirituality Day for Senior Highs and Adults: 3:00-8:00pmBryan McFarland will lead us as we enjoy an interactive day of Celtic music, Celtic prayer, and Celtic art. Cost is $7.00 and sign up is required.

October 20: CROP WALK 2002: 12:00-4:00pmBring a bag lunch and your walking shoes and meet in Arnold Hall after worship to head to Corpening Plaza to walk to stop hunger. Get CROP forms from Wendy or Pat Freiberger.

October 25-27: Confirmation Beach Retreat

October 27: Help with Costume Party for Children preK - 5th grades: 5:00-7:00 pm Youth will lead the children in fun activities and are invited to wear a non-scary costume.

 

Coming in November

 

November 2-3: Salem Presbytery Middle School Retreat at Camp Hanes. Don’t miss it!

November 3: Senior Highs will make crafts to donate to the Fall Festival.

November 9: Shallowford Fall Festival: There are many opportunities for service and fun at this event. Please plan to participate!

November 17: Rake and Run for folks who need our help in raking leaves. Rain date: November 23.

November 24: Advent Workshop and Community Thanksgiving Service.
