Biography

I am Bachelor in Social Communication, with qualification in Advertising and Propaganda, for the Catholic University of Santos (UniSantos, São Paulo). In 1990, still in the college, I was assistant of the Laboratory of Telematic, becoming later monitor of the Laboratory from 1991 to 1992, responsible for the organization and update of the database in videotext system of a few academic nuclei of UniSantos.

It was at this time (1991) that, motivated by the pleasure of poetry and the growth of the telematic in Brazil, I developed one of the first authorial contents of poetry in the Brazilian videotext network: the weekly program (site) "Telematic Poetry", where I published my poems receiving feedback from readers of all corners of Brazil. From then on my interest for the artistic possibilities generated by communication’s new technologies was intensified.

Starting in 1997, when I entered the InterNet, I began to publish some essays, articles, poems and interviews. Since then I have participated actively in innumerable lists of discussion on Literature, Communication, Culture and New Technologies, divulging my literary productions and acting in some projects of collective authorship in the web.

In July 2000, my book of poetry "Weaving Journals" was launched in the House of Rui Barbosa (Rio de Janeiro). It was edited for Blocos Publishing House (Rio de Janeiro) and was one of the winning books of The II National Competition Blocos of Poetry. I also participated of collectives in print, with emphasis for "InsPiração Erótica" (Erotic Inspiration) and "A Sensualidade da Língua" (The Sensuality of the Language) - both launched in 2000 with homonyms literary-musical shows in Jundiaí (São Paulo), that only had become possible due the intense contacts made by the InterNet.

In March of 2001, in the Jundiaiense Country Club, was the opening of the theatrical piece "Poesia.br" (Poetry.br) of Leila Míccolis and direction of Jo Martin, in which I participated as invited poet.

In 2005, the test of Portuguese Language and Brazilian Literature of the vestibular contest (competition of access to the graduation courses) of the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro (UFRJ) on a reference quotes my text "the Metaphor of the Body (II): Beauty is put at the table", as one of the 3 subjects considered for the writing.

Since August of 2001, I edit the transdisciplinary blog "Fractoscope: Connecting Knowledge", that gathers news, articles of opinion, essays and poetical insights on art, communication, science and cyberculture.
