Biography


MARTA SODRÉ VIANNA MARQUES was born in Rio de Janeiro, 1966. She has graduated in Languages (Portuguese-German-Literatures) by UERJ - Rio de Janeiro State University (1985-1988). She worked as a probationer proofreader at the extinct EDUCAR Foundation. She has worked as teacher of German in CEPUERJ, Multilanguages and Wizard Languages Schools and developed an independent German Course which was led by invitation at the Rio de Janeiro Writers Syndicate. She has also worked at the CLC Laboratories of Languages and its Help Line, which located at UERJ. She wrote a poetry book, not published yet, which is entitled "Contemporary Compilation of Yore". Once in a while she writes chronicles but her favorite genre is poetry. Her favorite writers are Manuel Bandeira and Rubem Fonseca. She has taken part in an anthology of Shogun Arts Publishing House in which a poem of hers entitled "Nameless Poem" was published in 1989. She was also interviewed on a TV program called "Without Censorship" in 1989, besides having participated in poetry contests in College, newspapers and poetry compilations. She has disposed three poems on a German site of poetry, the "Lyric Welt". Owner of a slow and ruminant process of writing, she loves everything that is related to language and literature.
