This wonderful home has been a great home to raise our family
of four. However, the kids are grown and its time to move
on. We are looking for that special buyer to enjoy our home as
much as we have.
As the family grew so did the house. We built a 2-story
720 square foot addition in 2000, which gave us a great large
Master Bedroom and Bathroom. The electric was updated,
siding put on, a deck built, a pool installed, new windows
placed, newer oil furnace and more. Last year we installed
a hard wired generator system in the house, which can be hooked
up to a portable generator. Only problem is that we
haven't lost power since we installed it. We very seldom
loose power even when other communities around us have.
The community is a great community to live in. Even
though you are in the country, you have a general store,
library, doctor, churches and gas station all within walking
distance. The fire house is within walking distance and
the ambulance service is nearby as well. Two things we
seldom think about until we need them and when you live outside
the city you usually have to wait a while for those services,
but not here. One of the best assets is the town park,
which is a quick walk from the house. The park has a
baseball field, kiddie jungle gym, swings, and more.
Practice your golf swing, fly a kite, launch a rocket, chase the
kids or anything else you can think of. There
is also a large pavilion that can be used for private or public
parties. A newer tennis court and basketball court.
There are nature trails leading from the park. If you like
to fish there is even a creek that runs through the park that
leads to the Basic Reservoir, which was opened up last year to
fishing once again after being closed to fishing for many years.
Catch the big one!! And while you're there keep an eye out
for the bald eagles that fly around our area.
