Scrapbooking by Heart

I absolutely LOVE scrapbooking!   For me, it's the perfect hobby because it meets so many of my needs.

I love my family . . . each member is so important to me.  Scrapbooking gives me a reason to take LOTS of pictures.  It's a way of letting my children know how important they are to me.

I love home decorating.  I love the color coordinating, the balancing, the texturizing, the creativeness that goes into making a room look just right.  Unfortunately, it can be an expensive process.   Scrapbooking is an inexpensive way of letting me express my creativity using almost the same skills required in decorating.

I love genealogy.   Scrapbooking gives me something to hand down to my children and their children so they will know who their family is and where they came from.

I discovered scrapbooking a couple of years ago and it's now my passion!  I'm currently working on five different scrapbooks, which are described below.  Whether you're brand new at this, a seasoned scrapper, or somewhere in between, I hope you'll enjoy browsing through my books!  By the way, there are LOTS of pictures on these pages - please be patient with load time!!

Our Family Story Scrapbook

My largest scrapbook is the one I call "Our Family Story".  Here, I use my favorite way of organizing my scrapbook pages - by chronological order; it tells the "story" of our family's life together as you turn the pages!

Watch Me Grow Scrapbook

Another one of my favorite kind of page to make is a "Watch Me Grow" page.  Some pictures are specifically taken at the same place or event, but at different times, resulting in a page where you can literally see your children growing right before your eyes!  Other pages follow a particular theme and use pictures taken at different stages of life.

The Hayes Heritage Album

The Hayes Heritage Album is my book which chronicles the lives of my ancestors from the immigration of Henry Pennington from England to Maryland in 1650, and continuing through the deaths of my grandparents in 1969 and 1996 respectively.  It includes 15 scrapbook pages.

Pam's Heritage Album

This Album contains pictures of me as I was growing up.  I completed it just before Mother's Day 1998, and presented it to my Mom as her Mother's Day gift last year!  She loved it!
