My MGB Roadster

Below are photos of my MGB Roadster. It was first registered in 1981 and came to Guernsey in 1984. I bought it in 1996. Although I aspire to late sixties' chrome, I must admit to being a "rubber-bumper" convert - even the pageant blue has grown on me although it wasn't what I was looking for at first. My MG does not have a name (I'm not that sentimental), but I do think of it as definitely a "he" and not a "she". Click on the pictures for a close up.

You may notice there are no letters on the registration plate - I believe Guernsey is one of just 2 places in the world where only numbers are used.

I have made a few changes out of sight - like a stainless exhaust and manifold, electronic ignition, and telescopic shocks. These have only been done to improve or replace old parts, as I don't really want to change the car's character.

In the early days of my ownership I had an idea to lower the car, respray and convert to chrome bumpers. Luckily finances wouldn't allow this until I had grown out of the idea - I now think I was mad to consider it!
