All active employees, including managers, will be able to submit their ideas an virtually any subject and be recognized under the IBM Ideas Program. A new online application, which provides for electronic submission, routing and evaluation, will be available to reduce cycle time. In addition, the evaluation process has been simplified.

Suggestions received by October 30, 1992, will be processed under the terms of the old Suggestion Plan. Suggestions received after October 30 will be returned for resubmission under the new IBM Ideas Program.

Managers have been provided with additional information on the IBM Ideas Program and will distribute it to employees. IBM Ideas represents a significant change and improvement over the former Suggestion Plan, and employees are encouraged to review the IBM Ideas Program and Users guides.
