Come and Grow

The music on these pages are various songs, both Union and Confederate, except the opening page song which is "Ode to Family", which I found to have a very interesting and haunting melody. The site is dedicated to those fathers, sons, brothers, and cousins loyal to either north or south. Some of the families you will find on this site fought on the side of the Union: Hoovers, Ryans, Circles, Orrs, and others. Some fought for the rights of southern states, as many of the Virginia Zirkles, Circles, and Nicelys did, but some Zirkles wore Union blue, those being from Ohio and points west. Who was right or wrong is not the issue. What is important is that the country grew stronger because of the sacrifices on both sides.
