The Idea: This project was triggered by the idea of publishing the "parallel-drawn" Bible (not just the illustrated Bible). In other words, translating the Bible from written (verbal) into visual, symbolic language, by the year 2000.

The following sources - the Canonic Bible (the Old and New Testaments), Judaic-Christian mythology, interpretations of Jewish mysticists, Christian Gnostisism - are used for the purposes of coding and conservation of the archetypes using a "different language" of symbolic primitivism, which is the most universal in terms of understanding by people of all racial, ethnic, social, and religous backgrounds.

200 works of art created between 1997 and 1999(approximately one third of the project) can be perceived as the "free-illustrated" Bible, or as an attempt of "new materialization" of the known archetypes.

The author of this project - Eugene Vishnevsky - welcomes collaboration with fellow artists, publishers and sponsors.

The Project is in progress.
