We can segment any of the above cohorts – or any combination of them on the basis of time or place and by any of the various other parameters cited on this page
We can select groups on the basis of the institutions or other organizations with which they are connected – historically women’s, historically black, affiliated groups (Ivy League, COFHE, Oberlin Science Group, Carnegie classification categories, and many others) and rank them within the top 25, 50, or 100 comparable institutions, sorted  on any of various schemes of ranking.    We compare our rankings with those from other studies and attempt to rationalize and integrate them

OUR HISTORY AND RECORD OF SERVICE

Begun more than half a century ago as a personal biographical resource centered on biology and medicine, this avocation has developed into a large, independent, incorporated, tax-exempt Institute dedicated to surveying notable individuals and organizations in all fields, in every century, and on every continent.
We have a long history of producing surveys of notables connected with educational and research institutions, museums, societies, foundations, and geographic regions.  A large file of testimonial letters evidences the value and usefulness of our work.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Our services are not intended to include providing separate biographical sketches on living individuals.  Such requests are referred to any of several commercial organizations – including Reed Reference services, which publishes the famous Who’s Who series and American Men and Women of Science.  Their biographical sketches are available in their published volumes, online, in CD ROM’s, and via various vendors of their databases.
We intend to provide surveys and analyses of GROUPS of individuals – by time segments, geographic locations, specialty fields, society memberships, academic affiliations, honors, gender, and minority status.  We are especially prepared to compile lists of individuals (with their career data and references to further biographical sources) who are in any way associated with an organization, who have won specific honors, awards, or prizes, or memberships in honorific societies.  We can compare the production from any selected institution with that of comparable institutions and construct an array of relevant rankings.  Note that a majority of the cohorts cited above are closed and form statistically valid bases for such comparisons and rankings.

Initial survey reports tallying parameters relevant to any organization can be customized at a modest cost.
Inquiries are invited.
