Owner and director Deborah Kalab started Debbie's Gym 20 years ago after 10 years of competitive gymnastics. After college she worked and managed an upscale gymnastics school in Manhattan, only to move back home to Long Island and open Debbie's Gym in Bohemia.

Because of consistent quality gymnastic instruction, she was able to expand by hiring more instructors, offerring more classes, and conducting birthday parties. This has all led to moving to a larger fully air conditioned modern facility in Holbrook with new equipment, larger party room, a more comfortable waiting area, a baby changing station and more parking.
