einrich Friedrich Conrad Traphagen was born October 31, 1844 at Luthe, Germany, the son of Johann Heinrich Friedrich Traphagen and Sophie Dorothee Maria Lödding. He died after 1920 in Cannelton, Perry County, Indiana. He emmigrated on the Saxonia from Hamburg to New York City, arriving May 6, 1870. He probably removed to Perry County, Indiana immediately and possibly had family there. He married in Perry County, Indiana January 21, 1874 Sophia Nieper, born November 1854 in Germany, and died after 1920 probably in Cannelton, Perry County, Indiana.

2. Adolph H. Traphagen, born October 10, 1874 in Perry County, Indiana. He married September 13, 1916 in Perry County, Indiana, Lizzie L. Henning, born December 9, 1896 in Perry County, Indiana.

3. Howard Traphagen, born Febraury 19, 1930 in Perry County, Indiana. He married about 1950 Mary Alice Lauer, born September 7, 1934.

2. Cheryl Lynn, born April 15, 1954, Tell City, Indiana, married December 4, 1976 Darrell Ray Schauberger.
