HARRIS M110B PRESS
The most Important thing of the upgrade for an owner is the
price. We beat Harris offered upgrades by far not only
by price but also in the hardware we utilize with our packages. They offer the
upgrade with a Simatic TI505 which is already obsolete, not only the processor
but the modules as well. We use the latest, state of the art hardware from
Siemens and Allen Bradley or PLC Direct.. Need we say more?
We utilized a Siemens 315-2DP PLC with 3 remote racks. Each rack is being controlled by an IM153 Interface Module. We are planning on adding features and the 3rd rack is virtually empty for the time being. At this time the rack has been filled with "Dummy Modules" for fillers.
The new Siemens PLC and modules were mounted in the back of the Control console. The old Texas Instruments PLC is gone as well as the modules (I/O). We kept the existing power supplies for our Analog modules.
At the bottom you can see the PLC and the power supply next to
the 3rd rack. The old racks of the TI are gone. Instead of the racks several
rows of terminal blocks were utilized. A simple way to eliminate costly
re-wiring. We have utilized PROFIBUS for all three racks and also the TP270 OIT
and future add-ons to the system.
In the future, data collection will be part of the system. Also a couple
more OP070's will be added in two other locations to control the Infeed
Tension as well as the Chillers and some auxiliary equipment.
The above images are captures of the Touch Screen pages that
we have used for the M110B.
The top one is the Infeed Tension Control and the nips , and the bottom one is
the Main Page.
