These old photos that were taken in 1932. Down the line, {oldest to youngest}

Bill, Doreen, Raymond, and Lila (in wheelbarrow).

They were taken during the summer of 1932, at the old homestead at Dorne Ridge, picture No 1 - you will see a sizeable wood pile, Dad's sawmill, Grandmothers old woodshed which is attached to the main house, and to top it all off, those 4 characters, namely, sister Doreen, brother Raymond, sister Lila in the wheelbarrow, of which I am the driver.

The other picture was taken also the same year only 50 feet away, in front of the new house that Byron started to build in 1928. The old house referred to above was built in the 1840's.

Those masterpieces, the wheelbarrows, were the product of Bill.

Four generations of Boones - Narrative by Ray Boone

The lady in the middle, in front of the Minister is a Mrs. Chapman, one of my mother's neighbours when she lived on Union Street. The Minister, Rev. E. D. Wills passed on many years ago. The Church, St. Mary's Anglican was torn down many years ago also. It used to be on Union Street, about a mile from our house.

The occasion of the photo was Byron's christening and was taken by a photographer from the Daily Gleaner.

So, in the photo, you have your Great Grandfather, Ransford and your Great Grandmother, Alma. Your Grandmother, Mabel, your Grandfather, Byron, Mum and I and last but not least, you and Byron. Also, in the photo, your Aunt Lila, Aunt Mary, Uncle Elwood and Uncle Willie and his first wife, Alice. (Both Willie and Alice have agreed to have the photo on our web site). If you want any more info, let me know.
