A SOUTHERN WEDDING

The next trip didn't happen for a while. In August, one of the women at work got married down in South Carolina (she's originally from Wilmington, NC). These are some of the pictures of the wedding, the reception, and the tackiest place on Earth, South of the Border which we had to pass on our way down and back. You can just see the tackiness seep right out of these pictures.

Then it was on to the wedding day. The picture on the Main Page of this site was taken at this wedding. The wedding was held in a Southern Plantation house which was beautifully decorated as you can see. The first picture is myself with two of my coworkers.

The bride arrived to the house in a horse drawn carriage. Then was walked down the aisle with the ceremony taking place on the steps of the house.

Then it was on to the reception. The reception fare was mostly good ol' traditional southern dishes such as shrimp and grits, oyster pie, and other goodies. It just reminded me of the short time that I spent living in the south.

And here they are, the happy couple.
