Scully had been at it all day. In an effort to relax on her weekends she had been trying to find craft projects to keep herself busy but this Barney beanbag chair for her nephew just wasn't working out. It looked nothing like the picture on the pattern and she was beginning to wish she had never started. Fueled by her frustration and a general dislike for the purple menace, Scully was pulling stuffing out in handfuls when she heard the doorbell. Saved by the bell! It was Mulder who seemed unable to go an entire weekend without stopping by or at least calling.

As they swapped information on their latest case, Mulder threw veiled glances at the mass of furry, purple material taking up most of the living room floor. When Scully told Mulder of her project, he agreed that fashioning a chair out of Barney was an inspired idea but offered Scully an even better craft alternative.
