Star Trek In Italy!
While in
Rome, do what the Romans do! And, when I was there in April '99,
they were going to a Star Trek exhibit. Here's a few pix from the
exhibit housed just off of the Piazza Colonna in Rome (about 100'
from the Column of Marcus Aurelius, for those who are curious).
The banner that caught my eye...
"Avanti!" - "Beam In!"
And in
Florence, two days later, I spied this fountain on the campus of the
Universoty of Florence. Upon closer inspection of the broze creatures
atop the fountain, I realized it is... THE FERENGI FOUNTAIN!!
