Started Schema Consulting Inc. providing consulting services to Information Systems Departments.

Worked for Volvo Commercial Finance on a Dealer Wholesale project using Visual Basic 6, MTS, Oracle 7.3/8i.
Used PL/SQL, MTS, VB, ASP extensively during the project and was also made the Project DBA as well as the technical lead for the project.

Spectrum Technology Group – Systems Engineer
In May, 1998, STEP Consulting became part of Spectrum Technology Group, a division of Ciber Inc.

Used Site Server Personalization and Membership (P&M) on an extranet application to provide security and tracking. Also used Commerce piece of Site Server to create custom pipeline components.

Worked as a mentor for the local government, helping them convert existing JCL applications to a Visual Basic/Windows NT environment. Also created several web applications including an ASP/MTS project to manage procurement card expenses. Also created a distributed application with a portion of the app running on mobile units and utilizing digital cell phones to send and receive XML messages from and to the mobile field units and the server located in the office. The application also used Outlook and CDO to fax inspection results to contractors and performed many other features.

Worked on an ASP/MTS application to provide an online training system to users. The system provided training by displaying Adobe PDFs and then testing them through the web.

STEP Consulting – Senior Consultant
Performed various roles at STEP Consulting including project manager, lead developer, database administrator, web developer, web master, application architect, technical architect, technical sales.

Worked on a Clinical Trials application that consisted of up to 10 team members. Main tasks on project included class library maintenance, development of Range Checking, Data File production, and Bill of Materials processing and printing. Also performed various other tasks including maintenance and administration of database, assisting other developer, designing new application modules.

Worked on various other projects including STEP Consulting’s internal Intranet using Active Server Pages and Visual Basic ActiveX server components. Also used Microsoft Commerce Server objects to create a basic Electronic Commerce application for a Fortune 500 company.

Created a Word VBA Application that accessed a SQL Server database using Active Data Objects to build resumes from user information stored in a database.

Worked with Microsoft Exchange and Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) along with products from Eastman software to create workflow applications and document control projects using Visual Basic, Active Server Pages, and Eastman software. Wrote custom reporting utilities for Eastman software products to facilitate reporting of workflow and document management.

Worked on Visual Basic Client/Server project using Visual Basic 5.0, SQL Server 6.5, and various ActiveX components to create a Pension Plan reporting system. Worked as a consultant to the group, helping out on technical problems and providing various technical assitance on SQL Server and Visual Basic.

Created a Internet Commerce Site using Microsoft Site Server – Commerce Edition. Site used the web to accept credit card signups for Training Classes and Seminars. System provided real time credit card approval and validation.
