I feel change is in the air!!!!
This past month of January was a blur to me as I was under attack by
various germs or bugs but I am feeling much now. Chris Mc Daniels and Sue Gustafson have also weathered January
and both are doing well in their health concerns now. Change is Good!
Maxine Sowers is now on our prayer list to heal a broken bone and please also remember Millie Linnerud.
Spring is also in the air and after several very cold weeks (at
least for Florida) I look forward to the warmth.
Lent is coming; which is a time of preparation. Ash Wednesday is February 25, a little late
this year and Easter is on April 12th, 2009.
I had the privilege of attending a meeting for the new Spanish Lake
residents where I was able to tell them what a caring and loving congregation
our church is and invited them to become part of our family. In sincerely hope some do.
I would encourage all who are able, to contribute to our organ
fund. The new organ is a great
improvement over the old one and I want to support Don’s request for
donations. I made one, perhaps you can
also.
Our church will be the recipient of all of Spanish Lake’s food
donations which I will be glad to take to the All Faiths Food Bank.
My special thanks to Cliff Dameron, Tom Rowland, Jim Chisholm, Ken
Beardslee and all of the men who conducted the men’s service in January. You had a very special service, indeed.
See You in Church.

CCW news...
Our meeting was held on
January 22. We discussed a couple of
upcoming events – the first of our scheduled three-bake sales (January,
February and April) and the March 7th Spring Fair and our plans for
items for sale at that event.
Our January bake sale was
on the 24th and was a really great bake sale. We took in $242.40, which we sorely
need. We have so many worthy mission
projects that we are trying to continue to support and this really helps. So many thanks go out to all of our bakers,
customers, workers and others that make our sales work.
Several projects are
underway in connection with the March 7th Spring Fair. We certainly could use your help in making
sure we have a great array of great items for sale. Consider joining us at our February 19th meeting and
offering your assistance. The meeting
is at 9:30.

purchase the organ. Please make sure
that Polly has your information to ensure that it gets into the dedication
bulletin. Please make your donation
checks out to “CCC” and indicate it is for the organ fund. If you use cash, please put it in your

Bible Study…
In our Adult Sunday School we are
examining John 3: 16. Our study is based upon a book by Max Lucado entitiled

Just a
Reminder…
We have people in our
congregation who are willing to help you do small jobs around the house that
you cannot do. Like replacing burned out light bulbs, washing windows, or replacing
broken light switches. These are the type of jobs that commercial businesses
don't have time to do. If you have anything like this, please call Cliff
Dameron at 412-1615 and
we will send somebody to help you.
