| Jessica and I meet while I was in the Navy. She worked in the Gedunk (snak bar), I was a Second Class Airframer. We quickly discovered that we were in love and got married. I still had some time left in the service and a trip to Japan before I was able to get out. We lived in a small apartment in Oak Harbor Washington, located on whidbey Island. This by far was the greatest place we have ever had the previelge of living. It was beautiful. Not to mention we were on an island. After three months of marriage I was off to Japan for six long months. Originally I was sent to Kadena Air Base in Okinoya. This was in December and after about one month I was off to Northern Japan (misawa Airforce Base) to run the Corrosion Shop. I went from warm to freezing. In Febuary I sent for Jess and we were going to be together in Tokyo for a week then we were off to Misawa for three months. |
