There have been a lot of fights over which zelda game is the best but what it all comes down to is what kind of things you like. In this article I'll tell you what kind of game each of the adventures are, and hopefully I can assure you of your favourite one.
The Legend of Zelda is for people who like retro gaming as well as simple, yet very addictive games.
The Adventure of Link is for traditional RPG players who don't mind an RPG without turn based fighting.
A Link to the Past is for those who love long quests full of difficult puzzles that make you think.
Link's Awakening is pretty much the same as ALttP but a bit lighter.
The Ocarina of Time is for those who love immersive, mysterious, and challenging games.
Majora's Mask is for people who like a mysterious quest that keeps the thought of doom in your mind at all times.
The Oracle series as a whole is for fans who want to spend a lot of time collecting everything.
Finally the Wind Waker is for those who want an epic quest with a nice sense of humor.
To be honest I'm probably one of the few people in the world who like Majora's Mask best, every time I play it I find something new that I never seen before, and I never get sick of the story. Excluding me and a handful of other people, most fans like the three big ones A Link to the Past, The Ocarina of Time, or The Wind Waker. Now ignore what I just said and focus on which of the above fits you best, that should be your favourite game, of course there's no guarantee of that but who cares, it's just for fun, besides why choose a favourite as shown above, each Zelda game is best in it's own way.
