This website is about my journey as an Air Force ROTC cadet to my dream of going to Air Force Pilot Training.

I guess I should start out with who I am. My name is Ian Hanobeck and I am from Morgantown, West Virginia. I have wanted to be a pilot in the United States Air Force for longer than I remember. I am now a freshman at Marion Military Institute in Alabama (I hopefully will make it out alive). I started Air Force ROTC here and I am going to continue on with my degree at my hometown school of West Virginia University.

I originally planned to go to the Air Force Academy, but so many things happened this year I was not able to.  I am happy to go to ROTC. It should be a fun experience and I will be commissioned a 2nd Lt a year earlier than planned.

I will be updating this page with journals and other things.  So check back often.

This website is intended for family and friends so that they may see the progress of my education throughout the next few years.
