SPECIALTY PUREBRED CAT RESCUE
Welcome to the homepage for Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue, celebrating 10 years of finding excellent homes for abandoned/surrendered purebred cats in the southeastern Wisconsin/Northern Illinois areas!
My name is Kirsten Kranz and I work closely with local shelters and other rescue groups to place the surprisingly large number of purebred felines which find themselves homeless. I only take in a very few cats at a time for maximum quality of care, so I usually do have a list of cats waiting to come into my foster space. Cats are kept in my home in their own rooms and are given the best of care.
I require an adoption application (which can be faxed or mailed to you) and an adoption fee. Cats which are adopted out are always
spayed/neutered, vaccinated, feline leukemia tested, dewormed, flea-free and vet checked. I primarily get in Persians and Himalayans, so if you are looking for these breeds PLEASE CONTACT ME. I also do get in rare breeds from time to time, so if in doubt, e-mail me.
If you are in this area and need to surrender a cat, I do take them in on a case by case basis as space allows.
I DO NOT take in Siamese or mixes other than Rex or Sphynx. I also will NOT take in cats over 10 years of age or with a history of aggressive/very shy behavior. I am careful about where each and every cat is placed and do require an adopter to sign a contract indicating the cat must be returned to me at any time if it can no longer be cared for.
Most of the cats who come to me have been through terrible situations and just need good homes where they will receive the true quality of care they deserve. If you would like to share your home with one of these special kitties, please e-mail me.
