Assault on precinct 13

Jake Roenick woke in the afternoon in his apartment. He took some tablets, put on his police uniform and went outside into his car. There was a heavy snow storm outside. He rode through the storm to his police station "precinct 13" in the industry suburb of Detroit. It was New Year's eve.

In a church in Detroit Marion Bishop was waiting for someone. He was leading the most powerful criminal organization. An agent of the special police unit for organized criminal sat besides him. Bishop told the agent that his answer was no. The agent took his gun but Bishop was faster and killed the agent with an injection syringe. He went outside the church. Two of his man were waiting outside. In the church they discovered the dead body. There was a lot off screaming and panic. There were some special agents outside the church. When they saw Bishop appearing alone from the church and heard the screaming, they tried to get him. Bishop's men started to shoot at them. Bishop run back into the church, through the church and outside through the back door. But there were cops already waiting for him. Some people inside the church called the police and luckily some police cars were near the church. Bishop was arrested for murdering an agent. Not far away Marcus Duvall was looking to the action from his car. He was in command of the special unit. he was pissed off. The whole situation got out of control. He wanted to force Bishop into a deal or at least eliminate him quietly. But now the police arrested him for murder and Bishop knew to much of his connections with the criminal underground. He could take down him and the whole corrupted special unit. He had to do something and that quickly.

Jake Roenick arrived at his police station. It was the last day that the station was open. Tomorrow it would be closed. They moved the station to a new location. Almost everything was already moved. Only a small team would spent that night in the old station and Jake would be in charge of them.

Beside Jake there were on the station only Iris Ferry the sexy secretary, who liked to have sex with mean bad guys, and Jasper O'Shea an old cop. They were preparing to have a small party. On the television they saw the latest news about the arrest of Marion Bishop. Marcus Duvall appeared on the television. He said that they would keep Bishop heavy guarded on the main police station in the city and that the next day when the storm would pass they would transfer him to a safe and heavy guarded place.

Later Alex Sabian visited the station. She was the police psychologist. She had a regular therapy meeting with Jake, before she would go to her New Year's party. Some months earlier Jake lost two partners in an undercover operation and he was wounded in his leg. He was in charge of the operation. From that event he didn't want to work in field anymore, so he applied for a desk job in the new station, while supposedly his leg didn't heal good. Jake made fun of the therapy and of Alex. But the two were atracted to each other. When she left, Jake stole his file from her.

Jake started to read his file in his office. Marcus Duvall and his co-workers came to Bishop's temporarily prison. He told the cops who guarded Bishop that they would secretly transfer Bishop with a regular prison bus with some other less important prisoners that evening and not the next day as it was told to the public. They misguided the public on purpose so Bishop's men wouldn't know that he would be transfered that evening. Alex professional opinion about Jake was that the problem was not his leg, which healed very good, but his self-confidence. After the operation he was afraid to take the responsibility of leading another operation. He was afraid of making mistakes that could lead to more killed partners. Bishop and three other prisoners were transfered in a police bus. Only two cops were guarding them. Suddenly they got the message that the road in front of them was blocked because of a heavy accident and also the storm was becoming more and more dangerous. So they got the orders to drive the prisoners to the abandoned police station "precinct 13" where they would wait temporarily for further orders. Jake didn't like what he read in the file but in a way he knew it was the truth.

The cops brought Bishop to the station. Jake didn't like it. To have Bishop in an abandoned police station with almost no guards. It was crazy. He prayed that Bishop's men didn't know that he was here. One of the cops from the bus called the traffic control. He wanted more information about the heavy accident, while he knew that at that moment his sister would be driving somewhere at the location of the accident. He was told that there was no accident at that location. He thought it was very strange, but he soon forgot about it. He was just happy that there was nothing wrong with his sister. Jasper told everyone that he just got the confirmation that he could retire. He started to celebrate. Later that evening Alex returned to the station. The storm was to big, she couldn't get with her car to the party, so she returned to the station. Jake and Alex started to flirt with each other.

It was midnight and everybody celebrated the New Year. One of the cops from the bus went down to the prisons to check the prisoners. Two heavy armed and masked men came from outside through the unlocked back door to the prisons at the same moment as the cop came. There was a gunfire between them. The cop was heavy wounded and the two men escaped. The others heard the gun of the cup and came to the prisons. They found out that the back door was unlocked and they were sure that it was locked the whole time. And also the telephones didn't work anymore and the cell phones were also blocked. They were sure Bishop's men were coming for Bishop. Jasper demanded of Jake to let Bishop free. If Bishop's men knew that they had Bishop they would get him anyway. It was pointless to resist them. But Jake and the others hated Bishop to much to just let him go. Bishop was a cop killer and now they had him. They looked through the windows. They saw no one.

Jake decided to go to the bus, who was parked outside the station. The bus had a radio. Maybe he could call for help. When he came to the bus he surprised a police commandos in the bus who was just destroying the radio. Jake immediately attacked him and after a short fight succeeded in making him unconsciousness. Jake dragged him back to the station. Inside the station they tied him. It was strange. Bishop's men didn't wear police uniforms and didn't have the equipment of the police commandos. They woke the police commandos. They couldn't get a word fro him. They also brought Bishop to the interrogation. When Bishop saw the police commandos he laughed. He told them that he was one of Duvall's men. It looks like Duvall wanted to eliminate him and probably everyone in this station. They didn't believe them. Then the two cops from the bus said that Duvall himself ordered the immediate strange transfer of Bishop. Then on of them told them about the imaginary accident. This gave some weight to Bishop's words but still they didn't believe Bishop's explanation. They took him back to his prison. Bishop amused himself.

Marcus Duvall was sitting in his car with his co-worker. He was pissed off. Everything this day went wrong. He brought Bishop to this abandoned police station to kill him easily and even that didn't work. And now they captured one of his men. It was crazy. He had to kill Bishop that night and there was only one way left. He suspected that at the station they already knew or suspected that he stood behind the attack. So he would have to eliminate everyone. He issued the order to start the full attack on the station.

Duvall's men positioned themselves around the station. Jake and the others saw through the windows what was happening. Then the fierce attack started. Duvall's men opened fire. The windows were destroyed in a second. The whole station was under fire. The tied police commandos was heavily wounded. He started to curse. He knew he would die with the rest of them. He shouted to the others that all of them would die. That Duvall would not leave them alive. Jake asked him if they were really attacked by Duvall's men. He got the confirmation of the commandos. Then the commandos died.

The heavy attack continued. Jake saw that the situation was hopeless. He decided to free Bishop and the other prisoners and arm them. So they would have more chance to survive. Jasper didn't want to do it. He would rather die than let Bishop free and arm him. But Jake in this extreme situation evolved into a determined leader. He freed the prisoners and armed them. The heavy fight continued. During the fight Bishop explained to Jake that he worked with Duvall together and that they shared the profit from their black operations. But that Duvall wanted a bigger share of the profit. He didn't got it, so probably Duvall had a arrangement with some of Bishop's men to replace Bishop. He just had to eliminate Bishop. After a long and spectacular attack they succeeded in defending the station. Duvall's men retreated. Some of Jake's men were dead or wounded.

Duvall decided to call helicopters for the final attack on the station. In the station Alex lost her mind. She became hysterical. It was to much for her. Jake tried to calm her but he didn't succeed. When no one looked she went out of the station. She started to walk away from the station with her hands up. She yelled to Duvall's men that she wanted to surrender. That she would tell no one about this attack. Jake saw her from his window. He started to run to bring her back into the station but Bishop caught him and didn't let him go. He told him that she was already dead and that he could not help her. One of Duvall's men shot her into her head. Jake went crazy.

Duvall's men started to attack again. Jasper dissapeared. Iris saw how he went to the roof. There she saw how Jasper unlocked the door to the roof and went back down the others. She went crazy. She attacked him and heavy wounded him in front of the others. She told them what she saw. Jasper couldn't lie anymore. He confessed that he worked for Duvall. He also unlocked the back door down at the prisons. Jasper also told them that Duvall would probably sent helicopters to attack from the roof. Jake was pissed off. He killed Jasper. Bishop was amused with the situation. Jake went to the roof. There he saw helicopters approaching. He locked the door and went down to the others.

Duvall's men landed on the roof of the station and started the attack from the roof. Bishop slowly took command of the situation. It looked like he was expecting something other someone. He took them to the basement. Duvall's men attacked the station from all sites and they were already in the station. Beside Bishop only Jake and Iris were still alive. They came to a room with a small window. Then someone from outside destroyed the window. Jake and Iris thought it were Duvall's men. But Bishop told them not to shoot. It were Bishop's men. They helped the three of them to escape through the window. Outside they saw dead Duvall's men. Bishop was glad to see his co-worker. The co-worker told him that he also eliminated the traitor in Bishop's organization, who was working with Duvall. Under heavy fire they escaped.

They rode away from the station in cars through the storm. Duvall got the news that Bishop escaped. He was pissed off. Bishop stopped the cars when they were far enough. His men tied Jake and Iris and abandoned them in a car. Before that Bishop gave Jake three options to choose from. The first option was that Bishop would kill Jake and Iris. The second option was that Bishop would just leave Jake and Iris here in the car. The cops would soon find them. And Duvall would kill them probably in a day, because they were dangerous witnesses of his attack on the station. The third option was that Jake would start to work for Bishop. Jake and Iris would be left in the car. The cops would find them. But Bishop would prevent Duvall from killing them. Bishop had still some powerful influence in the police. Bishop would arrange that Jake would be promoted to the special unit. Jake's task was to replace Duvall in the special unit in the next years and of course to cooperate with Bishop. Jake liked the third option. He just asked Bishop if he wasn't afraid that when he replaced Duvall that he could betray him. Bishop answered him that he hoped that if he would do that ,that he would be better than Duvall. And he also said to Jake that now that he became a mean and bad guy he would finally get with Iris into bed. Jake and Iris laughed.
