As I sit here staring
Off into the bright blue sky
As if the snow that's laying
On the hills near by
Reminding me and I wonder
Why this white blanket is here under
Those hills on the horizon
Perhaps its to reflect
On those treasured moments
That we sometimes seem to forget
Even though I may look at where I am
It feels much better to think about you
I know we may not talk all that much
I just wanted you to know
That you have deeply touched
This heart and soul of mine
For this, I hope, these words
Are the kind, that sort of gift
That may make your heart lift

From the burdens that may occur
Of this time or this past year

Merry Christmas to you
And truly I wish you good cheer.
