The Music Box

The music box plays

Or the one I use to listen to

The song that it sings

Has been given up today

To have you hear what it may bring...

I pass it on to you

The peace of the mountain tops

The silence of the trees

May you listen, may you look

The substance of the crops

The serenity of the open seas...

I pass it on to you

The friends that you may make

Can be like a father

Sometimes you may need to take

The warmth of a mother

Sometimes you are the giver...

I pass it on to you

A missing in your travels

Is like a walk in a park

The confusion will soon unravel

Or you may even be in the dark.

The question remains.

You will never be the same...

I pass this on to you

Be what you are

In this very moment,

I really am not very far

The flower and it's scent

Reminds me that nothing is useless...

I pass this on to you

Look at what can be

Even if you are not free

Even if you don't see me

If I was comfort

Would you provide

This is why it seems I hide...

I pass this on to you

The above poem was inspired by the movie "Seven Years in Tibet".  I went away with a much heartfelt, spiritual emotional reaction. I highly recommend it. Also, below is a link in support for the Freeing of Tibet.

Internet Campaign To Free Tibet from China

The Internet Campaign for the Freedom of Tibet is a non profit organization working in the public interest to show world support for the freedom of Tibet from China.
