The rapid development of the human species has posed severe threats to the survival of many natural plant species. Many species has gone extinct because their natural habitats were destroyed. The situation was made worse by the massive breeding of commercial hybrids throughout the years, and more recently, the creation of transgenic plants.
Kingdom Plantae, is an effort to create a photo depository of natural plant species that were once endear to us. We should learn to appreciate the beauty of the natural form, and learn to make full use of what the nature has to offer us. One day, we might not be able to find these natural species anymore.
