His Star Sign Is "Aquarius", His Father Worked In The Family Engineering Business. During His School Years, Dieter Was Considered "Rebelious" And "Spoilt", He Always Wanted His Own Way And Could Never Get Along With His Teachers Or Fellow Pupils. His First Job Was Working In The Harbour, Under The Supervision Of His Uncle Heinz Giszas In Hamburg. The Year Was 1971 And Dieter, Age 17, Enroled At The University Of Gotteingen To Studdy Business Economics.During This Time He Played In A Few Local Bands For Extra Money And At The Same Time, Amongst His Studies, Layed Down Ideas And Foundations For His Own Band One Day. At That Time Bands Like Queen, Genesis, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin Were Becomming Big And Well Known In Fame And Stardom And AT That Time Dieter Actually Thought He Would Make "Rock Music. "When he was 18 he was with a rock band called Mayfair

Going Back To 1964, Dieter Was 10 Years Old, The "Beatles" Were Huge And Dieter Became Musical Influenced Through This Big Band..... He Started Playing The Guitar And Beatles Songs Were The First Songs That Dieter Learned. He Also Composed His First Song At This Time, Called: "Viele Bomben Fallen" (Many Bombs Fall) And Also Learned To Play The Keyboards, But This Song Did Not Prove Very Popular Amongst Fellow German's.

Dieter Met His Former Wife, Erica (29/09/54) In A Disco, In Hamburg in 1973 And Eventually Married On 11 November 1983, In Hamburg. In 1978, Dieter Completes His Course In Business Econmoics And Gets His Diploma. With That, Dieter Starts Thinking What Job To Start Looking For, But Still Thinks Of Becoming A "POP STAR" And Sends Off Many Demo's To Recording Company's - But They Get Rejected Time After Time.

Eventually, After Many Failure's, Dieter Gets Offered A Job With The Hamburg Recording Company: "Intersong", As A Composer And Producer, In 1979. They Give Dieter A Chance To Produce And Record His Own Song In 1982, But This Did Not Prove Very Sucessfull For Dieter. Dieter At That Time Did Lot's Of Work For Other Artists, But What He Really Wanted Was To Be In The "Fame" Himself. Dieter Has Used Many Pseudonyms In His Time.....Here Are Some Of Them, Amongst Others: Steve Benson ; Ryan Simmons ; Sunday And Countdown G.T.O.

Dieter Meets Thomas Anders For The First Time In Febuary 1983, Through The Berlin Recording Company: "Hansa". Dieter Confronts Thomas About Forming A Band - ".....it will be a duo and I shall call our project: "Modern Talking" Thomas Agrees With This Proposal And The Contract Is Signed. They Released Their First Single In November 1984, It Is Called: "You're My Heart - You're My Soul", But Only After A Lot Of Interviews, Media Events, Photo Shoots And Promotional Activities (Because Nobody Knew Who Modern Talking Was) - The Single Only Got Into The Charts After January 1985! This Single Is Still Reguarded By Many As Their Best And Top Selling Single Of All-Time.

Dieter Releases The 2'nd Single In March '85 "You Can Win If You Want" And At This Point In Time The 1'st Album Hits The Shelves Of The Record Stores. It Is A Song About Dieter's Life Up Untill That Point In Time. The 1'st Album Is Very Big And Successfull Around The World And What Is Unique About This Album Is The Track: "There's Too Much Blue In Missing You" Which Is The Only Modern Talking Song Ever To Sung By Dieter (Thomas Sings Vagely In The Background.....) While The World Enjoys The Success Of The First Album, Dieter Is Hard At Work In The Studio - Working On The Follow Up To The BIG FIRST ALBUM, He Will Call It "Let's Talk About Love". This Album Released Near The End Of 1985, Was Not Nearly As Successfull As The First Album , Although It Did Contain The Big N.O. 1 Hit Cheri Cheri Lady - The Video To This Song Was Superbally Done - Dieter And Thomas Are Playing Pool With Crystal Balls And Dieter's Guitar Very Suddenly Bursts Into Flames. Cheri Cheri Lady Was Written By Dieter For One Of Thomas's Maltese Poodles, "Cheri".

Louis Rodriguez Has Worked On Many Occasions For Dieter As A Technical Assistant And A Sound Engineer And With The Release Of Their 3'rd Album: "Ready For Romance" In Early 1986, The 1'st Single From The Album: "Brother Louie" Was Written And Dedicated To Louis On Behalf Of Dieter. Dieter Has Also Written Songs For Other People.....His Son Marc (Named After T-Rex Singer: "Marc Bolen") Born: 09/07/85, Dieter Wrote: "With A Little Love" For Marc. This Song Can Be Found On The 2'nd Album: "Let's Talk About Love". Dieter Has 2 Other Children, Marvin (21/12/88) - Dieter Wrote The Song, Marvin's Song, It Can Be Found On The Blue System Album, "Forever Blue" Released In 1995. Marielin (A Girl) Born On 23/02/90 - Dieter Wrote The Song, "Goodnight Marielin" For Her And You Can Find It On The Blue System Album, "X-Ten", Released In 1994. Dieter Also Dedicated The Song, "Crossing The River" To His Son Marc, Which Is To Be Found On The Album: "Hello Amrica".

Towards The End Of 1986, Dieter Released :"In The Middle Of Nowhere" - The 4'th Album. It Contained The Great Dance Track "Geronimo's Cadillac" Played At Discotheque's Around The World, However It Was The First Modern Talking Single That Did Not Make It To N.O. 1. In 1987, Dieter Decided That Modern Talking Should Split And That Thomas Should Not Renew His Contract.

The Release Of The 5'th Album: "Romantic Warriors" Was Released In June And In October That Same Year Dieter Forms His New Band "Blue System" And Releases His First Single "Sorry Little Sarah" From The Album "Walking On A Rainbow" Blue System Is Very Much In The Style Of Modern Talking, Except That Dieter Is Now Doing The Vocals This Time (He Is Tired Of All The Troubles) Sorry Lille Sarah Has Slightly A Latin American Dance Style To It, But The Album Has 2 Other Huge Hits Aswell, "She's A Lady" And "Gangster Love" Which Was Very Much Modern Talking Style, You See Dieter Wanted Modern Talking Fans To Bacome Blue System Fans Aswell. In November 1987, The Final And 6'th Album: "In The Garden Of Venus", Was Released - It Contained The Very Danceable Track "In 100 Years" And The Video To This Song Was One Of The Best.....Thomas And Dieter Are In Another World (Presumably The Year Is: 2087 And It's A Time Where Computers And Robots Rule The World, There Is Doom And Destruction Everywhere And Many Of Life's Little Pleasure's, Like "Love" Get Eliminated From Existance. Dieter And Thomas Are Seen In Glimpses As They Appear To Be Looking Out The Back Window Of A Bus. In March, 1988 Dieter Releases The 4'th Single "My Bed Is Too Big", Taken From The 2'nd Blue System Album: "Body Heat" - The Video Was Shot In "Death Valley, CCalifornia."

Modern Talking Have Had So Far To Date.....75 Million Gold And Platinum Awards Worldwide. Modern Talking Have Sold In excess Of 42 Million Records Worldwide.(This Figure Is Increasing All The Time, Because Of Their Massive COMEBACK in April This Year.)

Dieter Has Had Contact With Thomas Anders Since 1994 and In 1998 Has Decided To Return To The Music Scene, Under The "Modern Talking" Banner Once Again! They Re-released Their 1'st Single: "You're My Heart - You're My Soul '98 " In April This Year And In Europe This Single Is Going Straight Up The Charts To The N.O. 1 Position. By May 1998 - We Saw The Release Of The Album: "Back For Good", Which Has 12 Remixe's, 2 Original 80's Versions and 4 Brand New Songs Aswell. In August The 2'nd Single "Brother Louie '98" Was Released And Features The Rap - Dancefloor Versions Of "Brother Louie" And "Cheri Cheri Lady", Featuring: Eric Singleton .

Many Of You Still Wonder About The Existance Of "Blue System", After The Comeback Of Modern Talking. The Fact Is That As Long As "Modern Talking" Continue To Be A Recording Group - "Blue System" Will Cease To Release Albums.
The "Blue System" Carreer Lasted A LifeSpan Of 10 Years And Released A Total Of 13 Albums, Excluding Any Compilation Albums.
The Last Blue System Album To Be Released Was "Here I Am", In 1997 & Included The Single "Love Will Drive Me Crazy."

It Would Be Good To Notice That Throughout The History Of Dieter Bohlen's Carreer, Whether It Be "Modern Talking", "Blue System", "CC Catch" Or "Chris Norman" - There Was Alway's One Person That Helpped Dieter In The Sound, Production & Arrangment Of All The Singles & Albums - That One Person Is None Other Than "Luiz Rodrieguez", Whom I Think Is A Personal Longtime Friend Of Dieter's, Whom Dieter Works Very Closely With. Luiz Has A Lot To Do With What The "Modern Talking" Sound Is Like.
